Peru: History, Politics, and Culture

This course, taught in seminar format, will expose participants to many facets of Peruvian society, past and present. Students will create their own individual plans of study from a wide variety of sources (essays, historical documents, folklore, poetry, songs, short stories, novels, autobiographical accounts, photographs, recordings, and films). Participants of the course will gain an understanding of this nation and will share strategies for teaching about it with
colleagues from various disciplines.
