Start Fresh: Tools to Establish a Motivated, Productive, and Safe Classroom

Instructor Jessica Zwillinger

Course Number PRDV 74029

  • $ 59500

Regardless of whether your classroom model is hybrid, virtual, or in-person, the establishment of routines and procedures in your space fosters student ownership, physical and emotional safety, and an environment where challenges, failures, and successes can take place. Throughout twelve learning modules and using The First Six Weeks of School by Responsive Classroom as a textual guide, teachers will share best-practices and reflections, enhance and modify existing routines based on the unique challenges facing classrooms today, and lastly develop tangible products like timelines, signage, and guided learning activities. Participants determine what productive, motivated, and safe looks like in the context of their classroom community and can take advantage of this course as an opportunity to devote the necessary time and energy into developing rich tools to strengthen those invaluable classroom qualities.
