Strategies to Support Academic Achievement for All Students

This course is designed to enable teachers, administrators, and guidance counselors PK-12 to effectively support students with improving academic achievement, classroom behaviors, and goal setting. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of student needs, learning styles, and learning/behavior/motivation challenges. Through interactive discussions, reading current research, and reflective practice, participants will increase their understanding of effective interventions, develop a working knowledge of internal and external locus of control, apply knowledge of attribution theory, and strengthen abilities to support students who appear to be disenfranchised. Multicultural factors, diverse learning challenges, and educational settings PK – 12 will be explored.
