
Comprehensive Study of Child Abuse and Neglect for the Classroom Teachers

This course will identify and explore methods used in the identification of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse and neglect with an emphasis on developing skills for working with children and families. The course will explore methods of referral to public and private agencies in Massachusetts that deal with investigation and treatment and review current federal, state and local child abuse laws. The course is designed to educate individuals in all aspects of child maltreatment including procedures, documentation, and interpretation of policies.
