Mindfulness and Growth Mindset: Addressing the Needs of Diverse Learners

This course is designed to help teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, and additional support professionals effectively support all students improve academic standing, classroom behaviors, and goal setting, through the incorporation of mindfulness and growth mindset strategies. Through active discussions, reading current research, and reflective practice, participants will deepen their understanding of effective growth mindset and mindfulness strategies. Participants will develop and strengthen their abilities to support students who appear to be disenfranchised. Multicultural factors, ELL student needs, diverse learning challenges, current research, and best practices in educational settings PK – 12 will be explored.
