Developing a Positive Culture in Today's School

Developing a Positive Culture in Today's School

Instructor Eileen Page

Course Number PRDV 75715

  • $ 57500

The increased cultural emphasis on external accomplishments, image and material rewards has resulted in many negative consequences in the development of one’s genuine sense of self worth because what the person does or has is more important than who the individual is. This shift has elevated stress levels and the use of unethical coping strategies such as lying, cheating and stealing. It has also interfered with concentration, decision making and problem solving capabilities. Using Eckhart Tolle’s, A New Earth and additional related resources, this course explores the pros and cons of available research on ego and identity, the paradox of perfection, the identity connections in one’s writing, the significance of one’s need to belong, and some effective strategies that lead to becoming a healthy, productive, and contributing citizen in and outside of the school environment.

Material Fee $25.00,  paid at first class to the instructor.
